Cooker Hob Ignite Button

We have a Lunar Clubman, the Ignite button on the cooker hob has never worked since we purchased the van, we have looked under the grill there is a sealed box with wires linked to the ignite button, all wires look ok and are attached.

The ignite button when depressed no clicking noise is heard, I would like to get it working again if possible.

We are due to be using our van shortly over the next few days so any advice before we go would be appreciated.

Hi Liz, I don't know about your van but one of our previous van had the same problem and it turned out that the igniter was battery powered and once we found the lid (on the top of the hob) and replaced the AA battery everything was fine. Worth a look. Good luck.
