Try a piece of brown paper or three layers of kitchen roll a medium to hot iron and press over mark, this will lift the oil into the paper.Best of luck.J.LO

Hi Colin,

Very unusual today not to have removable covers. What caravan do you have?

A very old but successful trick is to use powdered french chalk. Liberally sprinkle it over the stain which I assume is still "wet" andleave for 48 hours. Then vacuum clean.

There are dirt devils but your problem is that the oil has probably gone through to the foam cushion.

Good luck. Cheers
