hi,

repair usually is not an option, best way is to replace it,with weight been put on the tray when in use any repair will be the weak point and very rarely works.this is usually caused by packing underneath the tray either shrinking under pressure or inadequately packed out.can get replacements and can get stronger trays to original.will cost around

just wonderin how much you charge for the average repair.

also the diy side of this is possible as has been said, but not many caravanners are as competent as leo, and, depending how the crack is repaired___it is a weak point.have heard of numerous repairs that have failed, but i suppose thats down to the repairer.

hope you get the repair sorted rodney____see what leo and derek say___they might just help you out.

Derek's repair is ok to do, but from what he has said there are two draw backs.

1/ The reapir would be visably detectable and as such would de-value the van.

2/ Without taking the tray out you cannot be sure that there is no underlying delamination or rot tat may of caused the problem.

To be able to see my repair, you would (A) have to know where it is and (B) have to use a magnifying glass to find it. Even the fillet of sealant looks like it is intended to aid water run off rather than hide a deliberate cut to the shower tray. Had I of not beein living in the van, I would of taken the loo out and got the tray up in one piece.

I'd shudder to think what sort of bill you would get at a workshop for this job but based on my own rate as a self employed engineer, it would workout at
