Crackling TV reception

Not sure which section to pose this question so put it in Tech and Equip.. so forgive me if this is not pc.

I have a new flat screen TV for my caravan. ;-) Problem is when I used it this weekend at a CC site with electric hookup and aerial point reception was good on a channels except for ITV when it crackled loudly. Any suggestions? (Using just the normal status fixed aerial on my van)
 
Can't quite follow .

If you were on a pitch with aerial point you don't need to use the Status on the van .

You just plug the lead from the aerial point straight into the TV.

Did you try tuning for a different ITV channel.

If you were using a video via the aerial lead and the channel frequency was close to the ITV one then that could account for interference.
