Cream carpet!

We have a cream carpet in our van which really needs to be replaced, does anyone have any suggestions on which type of flooring to replace with and how to do it? We would have liked to have removable carpets but not sure how to go about this or alternatively some kind of easily cleaned flooring would be great, especially with two small children and a little dog!

Vinyl floor coverning might be best, it's available in many patterns and colours including the 'laminate floor look'. It's lightweight, easy to fit and easy to clean either with a brush or a damp cloth and everyday spills or mud from boots, dogs or children doesn't spoil it.
You could lay long narrow loose strips of carpet over the top, these strips are sold for just a few pounds on market stalls.

I would use Flotex, had it in first van as standard and for years at home.
Other than being near bullet proof and easy to clean, it can be cut to the desired shape and requires no very expensive and wear prone edge binding. Use an off cut for an additional entrance mat.
Can be taken out and scrubbed on the patio if needed.
2 metres wide and about £20 a square metre on E-bay.
Just pick no real pattern or one with a short distance pattern to save buying excess.
