Cushions - toddler damage!

Hi All hope everyone enjoyed the BH weekend as much as we did

My darling son, in a very deep sleep, wee'd on my large foam button through lounge cushion - any suggestions?

If I took it to a laundrette and crammed it in the big washer would this ruin it more?

best regards

See my post about major spillage. We just came back and hired a carpet and upholstery washer and so far it is looking like the stains are coming out. I think the launderette option would be a bit risky and may mangle the foam. If it really needs wetting through how about putting it in the bath and then gently pressing the water out, then outside to dry. may take an age to dry. Hope you get it all out.

BTW for future use, Pampers make disposable bedmats, they are great.

not much help now but we are taking grandchildren way on Friday and wrap the seat cushions in carpet protector http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/products.jsp?id=52952&ts=26677

and then put throws over.Safe even from blackcurrant fruitshoots. The bath soaking sounds most likely solution.

Thanks for the replys

will try the bath soaking I think in the first instance, should dry outside if it ever stops raining!

Little fellow does not normally have accidents, but was so tired after overdosing on fresh air!

will look up major spillage thread as well

Best regards

Hi All

Just 'Bathed' caravan cushion - will not need to go to the gym this week.

Looks really clean, and no longer smells of wee.

Just need to repair double hernia and prolapsed vertebral disc now.

Best Regards Joann
