You're more than welcome,Chris.
While we were there, the dolphins failed to show on just two occassions from the nine or ten times that we went 'spotting'.
Although the site is right on the edge of the beach, they only seem to put on their display as they round the point by the lighthouse.
According to a member of the 'Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society' who is there almost every day, there are at least 130 identified individual dolphins who frequent the Moray Firth and the coastal waters down as far as Aberdeen.
The best time to see them is when the tide is coming in.They chase the salmon up stream and as the beach and sea bed fall away steeply at Chanonry Point, the dolphins are in deep water while still being pretty close to the shore.
Anyway you'll see for yourselves,Chris.
I feel like I'm telling you who dunnit before you've picked up the book so I'll say no more.
Cheers,Dave
