DAB radio query

My DAB radio aerial is the stick on type to the windscreen, old type. But when the windscreen was replaced, I had to buy a new aerial and cut and shut it to the existing wiring. Delicate little soldering, but it works.

My estate seems to have wires in the rear windows both sides plus the pyramid bulge on the roof and there is a box of electronics under the boot floor. I can’t be sure but I think they are all part of the aerial and it is very elaborate. Pleased to say it works. less opportunity in a saloon.

John

The pyramid thing of which you speak is usually the GPS aerial(s). There are types that work on radio as well but they usually have a short (near) upright rod or bee-sting on them.
The wires in the side windows as I explained before will be the aerials. There may be variances between makes and models but the principle is the same.
