Moderator, it's up to you but I see no reason to delete it. I only popped on for two reasons. 1 - in my defence (don't I at least have that right?) and 2 - to try and resolve this issue once and for all. I, for one, am not allowing myself to be drawn in and I'm trying to be polite about it.

And in answer to Lisa's last post of....

"Look at it this way, how would you feel if I got on my high horse about something I knew hardly anything about but of which you were proficient in and wrote something like you did?"

I'd shrug and say "Each to their own" and forget about it, as I have done many times before. Just as it's each to their own on this subject. We all have our own beliefs, live and let live. There's no swaying one or another of us and at the end of the day, does it really matter?

And I knew what you meant about a meeting. Not that I see any point since we will still all believe what we feel is right at the end of the day.

Now all I want is for peace to be restored and the subject dead and buried. I'm sure many others agree.

I've just got back from the hospital. It must be uncomfortable keeping ones index digit extended for any length of time. I did think of telling His Moddyship to rub some Viagra on to his digit but then thought ... hmmmm ... it's got to be ingested so I've got a splint for his digit so he can rest it :O)

Ain't I thoughtful?

Thanks for the reply Gary.

I might say each to their own, that's why I don't engage in any posts regarding race.

However, if I had been told that I had really upset someone, I would apologise to them.

My husband just wants to meet you face to face to ask why you wrote what you did about our dog. You see, he has a long long history of keeping dogs, his particular area of interest was coursing and racing. Given his experience too, and the fact he would have prefered me to have a greyhound rather than a SBT, when little Gaylord came to live with us, Phil couldn't believe what a fantastic little dog he is. Although the temperament has been bred down from his bloodlines, that coupled with my training and handling has made him an ambassador of the breed.

Hi Jo

Thanks for your support. I hope you recovered from having your face licked by Diesel the last time we met at that championship show! I guess it is difficult for people not in the breed to understand what we're talking about.

That last comment is not aimed at anyone in particular by the way.

Lisa, if you remember, I did apologise in the thread and in the chatroom, admitting I made the mistake of making it look like you wrote the hypothetical scenario so I changed it to "Hypothetical wrote". However, you refused to believe I changed it on the day you made the complaint. I'm willing to go on live television (Jeremy Kyle? lol) and undertake a lie detector test because I DID change it the morning you complained about it. However, I make no apologies for the article I wrote because all it was, was a hypothetical scenario which others tried to tell you it was too.

Anyone I've spoken to about it have agreed with me and no doubt people you've spoken to about it have agreed with you. This no doubt includes your husband, just as my wife can see my point.

Ray(c), I'm inclined to agree with you, that would be my advice too but sadly, it's comments like this which spark debates rather than "each to their own" beliefs.

I say we drop the whole subject now. What say you?

Colin, CHILL! The canines of the world greatly appreciate your support mate. The owner of the corgi, I'd have loved to have witnessed that Colin to try and get an angle on the dog's behaviour and that of its owner (just for my tool kit).

And hey Colin, you're a dark horse, I didn't know you had met Legs too.

I have not had the oppertunity to date of meeting any member of this or any other forum. So far I can only look upon contributors as "computer friends".

------

It wasn't hypothetical Gary because you named the dog I own in partnership with my husband 'Gaylord' which made it personal to me and then to Phil when I told him about it a couple of weeks later.

Gary, I'm sorry about this but no others told me it was hypothetical. You always seem to bring other people into your writings. I could never understand why you did that. I'm not being nasty, just stating what I think.

The only people I've spoken to about it has been my husband. People can read on the forum what I've written.

Phil has asked if you are you free around the end of March after easter?

Mod, please don't delete this post as I have been as polite and courteous as possible.

Regards

Lisa

If you contributers would pardon me for being personal and going off topic for this posting - I notice that my old mate Plotter is back on line posting - HOW ARE YOU KEEPING THESE DAYS MATE? I trust that now all is well and you are well and truely on the mend. Don't forget your mates seeing that on a previous posting Lord B. had elevated you to the "Upper House" - congratulations from a mere serf.

"You always seem to bring other people into your writings. I could never understand why you did that. I'm not being nasty, just stating what I think."

For obvious reasons, I haven't named anyone but the fact remains, they DID post trying to explain to you my post was merely hypothetical. One such member has posted on this very topic and was the first to reply to the original topic on my forum trying to tell you it was only hypothetical. With respect, it seems to be you only read what you want to.

Anyway, this will go on and on forever so I think this is my last post on this subject and to be fair to the moderators, Haymarket and other users of this forum, I do think this should be something dealt with privately by email if you wished to pursue the matter and NOT on the boards of a forum.

Hi Gary

That's fine then, I'll email you around mid March to see if you are still ok about meeting Phil. Phil doesn't use the computer so it will be an email from me.

I think the mods and Haymarket have been absolutely brilliant, they didn't step in when people were asking about what had happened to Daventry and it was thought that a new owner had been found.

Kind regards

Lisa
