I made my own pull out bed some years ago before they became the norm using 2in X 1in planed timber and webbing

It should be easy to get suitable timber if not an exact match and it might be worth considering replacing the lot as an upgrade

Wicks have planed timber in suitable sizes

If you just want to replace a couple of slats then replace then with the ones near the cabinet and put replacements for them as near to the original as possible

In our Award Nightstar I made a double bed slatted base using Wicks 2in X 1in timber and so far no breakages in 200 nights

Done exactly the same thing last year playing with my daughter.

I needed to replace 2 slats and as these were only stapled to the webbing were easy to remove. I took one to a local timber yard who were able to cut 2 replacements for me to the exact shape and size. Like yourself the local B&Q had nothing suitable.

Fortunately the chap I spoke to also owned a caravan and he suggested replacing the first slat with something stronger as this takes the most force when climbing in and out and he had replaced several for friends.

Took 5 mins to staple back in place when I got home and you would never know they had been replaced. Only cost me
