Damp or condesation?

We have an Avondale 650/6 which we bought in the summer and are having a few problems with it. Before I go and dump it back on the dealers as we love the van, I thought that I would see what you guys here think.

At the back end we have had to have it resealed (which the dealer did) after they found damp there starting (scary as a 2004). Since then when we have used it we have found that there is a high amount of condesation in the van. This is either in cupboards, enough to form drops and run down the back wall! and also wet the cushions when you make the big bed at the front up taht are in contact with the outer walls at both head and feet ends.

This happens when we have been out and it has been cold but had the blown air heating on. Not all cupboards have this water drops in them, and all of the windows have water at the bottom of them in the mornings, so much so it has made the fly screens go mildewy although this does come off.

So what do you think? Is this from the damp trouble or does anyone have the same trouble? Our old van (an 98 Elddis) never had this trouble. OK, some water at the bottom of windows, but not this much. Also it has no "spacers" to keep the cushions away from outside wall, but again neither did the last van either.

Comments please.........

Kake, first job I would do is get an independant damp check done on the van (another dealer or mobile service agent)if its damp sort it out with the dealer ie get your money back if possible.

If its not damp it could be just where the air is cold outside to inside temp.

We were away at xmas hadnt used the van for a couple of months, had some condensation in some of the cupboards for the first couple of days, but also had water at the bottom of the windows every morning, just cus it was very cold outside and we were nice and snug inside. Joys of winter caravanning.

You could also fit some condensation boards yourself to help with the airflow around the cushions
