Damp Panel in Caravan

We are trading in our 1997 caravan against a brand new one very soon.

We are a bit concerned as there is a stained front inside roof panel from an old leak and flecks of rotten wood at the base of one of the windows,in our caravan.Its impossible to cover.

How do you think it will affect our trade in? any ideas how much they will knock us down?

Anyone any experience of this? how can i combat this damp meter culture?

Nicky - we had a similar problem 5 years ago when we tried to sell our '92 Lunar Delta (annually serviced & damp "repaired") only to be told by 3 different dealers that it was worthless due to severe damp ingress - we had to "give" it away for
