Damp & rot comparison

I think it would be interesting to take at least 10 different brand 10 - 12 year old British caravans and check them for damp and rot and then to take the same number of different foreign caravans and check them for damp and then compare the results. Who do you think will come out on top?

Maybe PC shoudl invetigate this angle. How about it Alex?

Unfortunately I don't think you will be able to tell anything. To get a fair test, all the vans would have to be the same age, kept in the same way, used the same way and in the same location as well as being subject to the same humidity, rain, snow and ice through their whole life.

They would also have to be towed in a way they all got the same stresses as well as loaded consistently.

Once all the above is true, you would have a basic comparison of build quality, joint technology and materials.
