can anyone give me some advise on the following. My 1989 ace globtrotter ghia centre roof seal has let water in and rotted a section of the roof wood I was thinking of repairing it but the internal roof panels go behind the cupboards and shower room ,moving all these would be too much work but cutting bthe roof internaly and patching would look bad can anyone advise on a slution as the caravan is fine in all other aspects and looking at whats on the dealers forcourts for £2000 - £3000 shocks me some worse than mine.

thanks ant

I think you are looking for an easy way around this and afraid there isn't one.

The only way to retain the roofs structural integrity is to replace the entire panel, which will involve removing some internal fittings.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's the only way.

Thanks for the advise made a temp repair to roof seal as i need the van next week.I might attemt the repair when i get back can you advise where to obtain the panel board and the I shaped joint and sealant from ? I ve decided to cut internaly 12 inches either side of the inner roof plastic joint to save removing internal wall and cupboards and use the I shaped joint and insert the cut panel pieces back in if possible.I also noticed the sealant in the window seals has gone brittle but this looks quite an easy job to peal back clean and reseal just that one window seal has split are these obtainable ?

many thanks ant
