There is another Forum run by Legsmaniac that used be called the Daventry forum as it was originally aimed at caravanners from that area - hence the "nr daventry" additions to usernames on this forum.

I think it was a tongue in cheek way of drawing attention to it - or have I missed something?.

It's a bit of a long story, Jim. Basically, it started when I joined this forum and was surprised to find quite a few members from or near the Daventry area. Being from Daventry myself I asked if there was a more localised forum and then decided to start one myself. It was originally called DATA - Daventry Area Tourers Association - and was intended for members from the Daventry area and surrounding villages, and friends and family of those members.

But interest in the site grew, so much so that members from all over were joining. I therefore quickly decided on a name change and called it Camping and Caravanning Community and hosted it at http://www.carryoncamping.org

Anyway, prior to renaming it, the members who joined from all over the country were jokingly validating their reasons for joining by adding "nr Daventry" or "100 miles from Daventry" after their names. LOL Most have changed their names back now but some still remain.

In tests by eminent professors of learning it was proved that the people of Daventry had a far greater intelligence than any other place in the U.K. and we are all jumping on the bandwagon hoping we can gain from being classed as intelligent. In the tests the people of Daventry were the only ones to be able to say where Daventry was located, everyone else got it wrong. There were many locations listed for Daventry in peoples answers, from County Antrim to the capital of the province of Ushbek Oran in Mongolia but all were wrong.

Daventry is actually here in Ol' Blighty :O)

Are all the good folk near Daventry under the influence of the radio waves from the transmitters ? After all, if very low power transmitters for, say, mobile phones can affect whole generations of school children, who knows what the much higher power stuff near Daventry may have achieved ?

And, by extension, what about those in north Cumbria / south west Scotland adjacent to the Anthorn transmitter on ULF but at very high power ? I think we should be told
