Hi all. A wheelie bin jumped out at me on a site at the weekend and I "dinged" the back of the caravan. It's an Elddis Crusader with silver aluminium sides and the dent is to the side panel, the awning rail and very slightly to the rear panel.
Has anyone any good experience of "smart" repairs? I am in the North-West (Formby). I know some people suggest covering dents with reflectors but I am quite pedantic about the 'van and I really would prefer a repair!
Thanks
Iain

Unless the reflectors are in places that make sense, and are duplicated on each side of the van so that it looks like they "should" be there they look stupid and anyone with any knowledge of caravans would instantly see that they are only there to cover a dent.

There ae some really good dent repair businesses out there, but with any repair over time it may become more noticeable as the paint fades, but at least it is an "honest" repair.

I concur with Damian and there are some good repair specialists. I have just had one done on the car, there are pics on here somewhere using Dentmaster. It was in a difficult place, double skinned and near a pillar making the metal quite rigid. The repair is totally invisible.

At least these days you can highlight the problem is some digital photos and request some estimates - masking tape a ruler to the area photographed to give evidence of the scale of the dings.. Presumably if the cost is higher than expected you will be covered by your caravan insurance. No experience with them as we live in the Midlands but Crossleys in Leyland advertise in the mags have good reviews on their professional website and would be easily accessible from Formby so might be worth contacting.
