We've just noticed a cluster of tiny little dents above the caravan door, we're assuming they've possibly been made by an awning pole, does anyone know if these can be removed?

Hi Sue and Den. Welcome to the club. You do realise don't you, that your caravan's not truely 'broken in' until you have at least one awning pole dent!
Unfortunately, without spending a considerable sum getting the panel repaired professionally,there's not a lot you can do.
If they are close together you can cover them with a reflector.If further apart,stick the front of a fridge vent over them (to act as a dummy vent only).
Don't attempt a fill and respray diy job as you will be disappointed in the end result - I guarantee it.
Our van's not a year old yet and we've already collected a couple.
We'll live with them for the time being - and I've just retired from the repair trade!

if you do a search on the Forums there was very recent discussion on dents. Also in the CC magazine a new company were advertsing 'caravanmedic.com' who claim to remove dents, but I would want to see some testimonials and pictures as it is not so well established as dent removal on cars.
I was 'gutted' when the first dent appeared but now the van is liberally sputtered on its offside from road debris hitting it. I think I will get to a point where I decide to have a whole new side laminated on! (dream on)

As "other Clive" has said there is an advert. for caravanmedic.co.uk in the current CCM. Looking at the website, it appears to be a sub-set of an established car repair company working though franchised agents. I was not able to establish how many such agents there are, but it would be very interesting to hear from anyone who has used them.
We also managed to aquire a couple of awning pole dents in the vans first year. Aluminium dents really easily but unlike a car dent the metal stretches and cannot simply be knocked back out again. We've decided to live with the dents on the basis that when we look around, there's a lot worse than ours. I put it down to wear and tear and I'm now a lot more careful with the awning poles. had my caravan a month when i bashed the gas BBQ into it, left nasty dent! My friend run a franchise for 'Chipsaway' which specialise in repairing small dents and chips on paint work they are nation wide and i'm sure there must be someone around you! cost is about
