As anyone noticed how low profile this case is?

O.K. there might have been a small surprise at how many of his family and son's friends he employed out of the taxpayers purse but there was no shock factor, no cries of lynch the b*****d.

To my mind the reason for no "shock factor" is public sleaze is an everyday occurrence now, most of them are at it. It's easy to say kick them out of the party or don't vote for them next time but theres another corrupt party member waiting in the wings to fill his/her family's coffers.

When you see or hear others, of this country and others, decrying the money oriented capitalist west is it any wonder?

Shariah law is looking more favourable every day .... hehheh!

A while ago there was the story of the MEP who had committed fraud and was sent to prison. Whilst in prison he could still claim

The gravy train, both in Europe, and increasingly here as well, seems to be getting ever longer. Surely the finest example of this (in Europe), is the fact that the auditors WILL NOT, I think for the 13th year, sign off the accounts. The whole system stinks, and major corruption is rife.

The sad part about this is he had a secretary who wasn't a family member. He cut her wages saying he couldn't afford to pay her. This lady was a single mother and once he is no longer a M.P. will be out of a job herself. After he cut her wages he employed one of his sons friends, another student at university, as a researcher.

He should be charged with embezzlement and made to pay every penny back.

I bet there's quite a few other M.P.s right now whose sphincter muscles are twitching.
