detachable towbars

I am about to purchase a VW Caravelle T5 model which is fitted with a wheelchair lift to the rear door. Obviously I cannot use the lift when hooked up to the caravan, I feel that a standard towball would be in the way of the lift when not towing.

Is there a manufacturer who supplies a detachable tow bar for the VW Transporter? (the Caravelle is based on the Transporter). I have searched but cannot find such a product, VW can not supply this.

Tony. I had a T5 for a short while and it was only VW who offered the removable towbar. Trust me looking at the instructions you do not want to fit it yourself.
