Managed to get our crossings booked on the cheap rates, found out on another web site that if you dissable the 'cookies' the site that Val listed works.
Another valid point that might help to keep the costs down is, DFDS are making a credit card charge of £4.50, but if you use PAYPAL, there is no credit card charge. I'm sure our other forum members will appreciate the code number 'Steve W'.

I have just booked using Val's link. Great prices, £68 return plus £1 for using Debit Card. I might have been re directed to another part of DFDS website as when I read the Booking conditions there is a £20 amendment fee. Still I've never amended a booking before so perhaps I won't this year. Only problem, now have to wait till June and we have not yet decided where to go after Dunkirk!!

You have to type the link into your browser, for some reason it won't get through in the normal way. Either that or 'google' DFDS and then make sure you use the code enec. (Lower case works).

Thanks Paul. I expect they have a limited capacity of 'cheap crossings' on each sailing.

Enjoy your holiday!

Now that's just 'one-upmanship' - we booked two return crossings, you have to book three!
Seriously I'm glad to hear that people are taking advantage. Don't forget the show ends tomorrow, and so does the offer!

...........that angle never occurred to me Val.
I was just marvelling at the cost of three crossings in 2013.
I have a diary that shows I paid £150 for one crossing Dover/Calais in 1995.

Yes, we've got 'France' magazines advertising crossings for many times what we've paid this year! I wonder how much longer these really cheap deals will be available.
This time (car only) we paid £38.00 return for May/June and £48.00 return for August/September!
Just to remind everyone that today is probably the last day the offer will be available, so if you're dithering then BOOK NOW! Change the details later, if necessary.

Sadly, it didn't work for us, as our plans mean that we travel in "high" season, and with two dogs, so its virtually the same as the CC price, but thanks anyway Val.

The main difference in prices for us, is that we have (for various reasons) to change our dates, and where the Caravan Club charge £20 per amendment, any changes to dates/times/sailings/car are free with this offer. Obviously if you change season from low to high then you pay the additional cost which would be £10 each way, but even so a high season crossing for car and caravan up to 14 metres at £39.00 each way is a very good deal.

I agree that the amendment charge made it tempting, as we've had to change bookings this year and last, but we had to go out yesterday and by the time we came back it was too late! I might give it a go later, though, as I must admit to getting a little fed up with the Caravan Club's high-handed attitude of late.

Yes people seem to forget that, indeed in 1994 we used sally ferries out from margate to ostend midnight crossing and pretty sure we got no change from £225. but that was the cheapest we could find and that was just a car crossing! used them again in 95. it seemed the prices started to drop around about 96. wonder when euro tunnel started operating?
we used hoverspeed when the had fast craft ferries, the ferryspeed norfork line too! All went bust, ok norfolk line got taken over and we have uses dfs. think this year we will use tesco vouchers and euro tunnel, alas our use of euro tunnel in the past doesnt seem to have sent them to the dogs, awfull set up at that place......
