DFDS NEC code - Car and Caravan from £54.00 return

Using the Code NEC11 brings DFDS each-way fares on crossings in May and June, for a car and caravan of £21.00 or £23.00 plus a fuel supplement of £12.00 - so a return crossing can be had for just £54.00 on some sailings, or £58.00 on others. Solo cars/motorhomes are £11.00 or £13.00 each way.
High season prices appear to be £33.00 each way for car and caravan, so £66.00 plus £12.00 fuel supplement.
High season prices seem to apply between 20th July and 2nd September - and on just one or two sailings before that time.
There is nothing on the website to indicate whether amendments are free or not!

…….just booked two return crossings for 2012 for a car and caravan.
One in February/March for £55.00 and one in August/September for £67.00 both bookings include a £1.00 Visa debit card charge.
Thank you Val

Vals post using the Caravan Club site booking service are the same prices, and you do not incur the credit card service charges.
"Every little helps" to quote a well known supermarket!

And if you have an over-length caravan you'll save using the Caravan Club offer - DFDS charge £15 per extra metre per journey, Caravan Club charge nothing.
You can also save on the First Class Lounge - DFDS - £12.00 per person per journey, Caravan Club £6 per person per journey.
These can make quite a sigificant difference for those with longer outfits or who wish to use the First Class Lounge.
However, for us, we've booked directly with DFDS as we've no caravan this time (left it in France) and if necessary we can amend in out of office times - essential for our journey times. With Caravan Club bookings you can only change things during Caravan Club Travel Service opening hours - awkward if you're on your way outside of those hours.

Yes, the Caravan Club charges for amendments - it's currently £10 - but £20 from next month.
Apparently, according to someone on another forum, this Directly with DFDS NEC Show offer (NEC11) includes no charges for amendments. I can't confirm this, so suggest if it's important to you that you check with DFDS themselves before booking.

What a dilema!!! Now that I have saved enough Tesco vouchers for a free Eurotunnel crossing, DFDS are so cheap that I have to decide whether I should save the Tesco points for something else!!!

How long can DFDS keep on making cheaper and cheaper offers??

They are obviously leading the market in cheap deals - I just wonder how long before some of the other ferry operators catch on and start offering similar incentives to book early!

......just booked a third crossing with DFDS for next year @ £57 return in June.
So that is 3 crossings for £179.......that will do me.
I am happy for DFDS to hold that amount of my money.
It would not surprise me if some other ferry companies, that are highly subsidised, suffered industrial disputes and/or drastic reorganisation before next year!

Sadly this offer has now ended - but those who've booked it can see just how much they've saved over 2012 prices!!!!
