I have just bought a digi flat screen tv with freeview, and would like to know what aeriel (and booster) will give me the best reception, also, I have heard that the signal booster must be the correct type for digital tv??

Agree absolutely with Garry and Carol - Status 530. Don't, whatever you do, get the cheaper omnidirectional Status 315 - it's hopeless.

Could you use an old Sky dish?? probably considerably cheaper!
No, you can't use satellite dish. Freeview is digital through air, from transmitter to your aerial. Satellite is from a satellite to your dish. A Sky digibox won't deal with Freeview signals and vice versa.

For Ebay users, try this.

Or do a search for it yourself. I see two on there at the moment, but at reasonable prices.

You can use a satellite dish and sky digibox. Freesat is a service made available for those wanting freeview in areas where it cannot be received through a traditional aerial yet. Do an internet search for Freesat for more information.
