DIRTY AWNING CARPETS!!

Our breathable awning carpet is very muddy from a couple of wet holidays. We have tried everything to clean it including jet washing. Any ideas welcome please!!
 
We clean ours as follows:

Lay it out on patio, the wife soaks it with the hose pipe, while I scrub with a soft bristled long handled brush.

Takes a while but comes clean in the end!
