Dirty backside!!!

Suppose I'm the last one, as usual, to cotton on to the latest driving ruse...

Couldn't help noticing as I drove to the south coast this weekend how many cars had unreadable rear number plates due to road filth. Some cars were perfectly clean everywhere else!

Surely officer, nothing to do with speed cameras aimed at rear number plates...

So is this just my suspicious mind, or have a lot of drivers out there (not caravanners of course) found a better answer to torching said speed cameras??

(PS: Happy New Year caravanning everyone...)

My wife came in the other evening and said that she had a problem with her lights. "Awful" she said. "Can't see a thing with them".

Thoughts of spending Christmas with the multi tester and my head reverse twisted amongst her wiring rapidly (and wonderfully) faded away, when I looked at the front of her car.

I have NEVER seen headlights so caked up with dirt in all my life. She'd just completed a long 500 mile journey through a lot of fog, and they had to be seen to be believed.

But I left her number plates.................!!

I've seen lots of this recently but to be fair I think it was caused by the period of cold weather. The salted roads attract dampness and no rain to wash the dirt away.

I washed the car one morning, drove 250 miles, and found it black at the end, not unreadable though.
