dislocated shoulder

the dog pulled me over last sunday (30th)and dislocated my shoulder, there is fracture there too, got carted to hosp in ambulance, and had it put back, (thankfully not like in Lethal Weapon) any ideas how long i am going to be using 1 arm only? We went away in our caravan this week end, was very frustrating not being able to help set up, though having tea and meals made all the time is a bonus!!

Hi Jayne - you need to get in touch with Dog Borstal!!

So sorry to hear of your injury. I bet it's bloomin painful.

I was out riding with a friend a few years ago and her horse spooked and she was unseated and sustained a dislocated shoulder (what a nightmare that was out in the wilds, no mobiles down a tiny track). Anyway, eventually contact was made with the ambulance service and they carted her off which left me with two fired up horses to get home.

She was strapped up for about a month I think. She did have to take things easy for a while after that.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Hi Jayne,

Sorry to hear of your accident. Make the most of it & remember that all good things come to an end (I mean the help around the house).

Jayne,

In the dim & distant past I dislocated my shoulder. The surgeon decided not to wait for an anaethetist and I was given intravenous pethidine while six people held me down while the shoulder was put back into place.....something I will remember as if it was yesterday!!!

Hope you get better soon.
