I think being told it "will" help is a bit optimistic.
The Dixon Bate is a shock link which allows some vertical movement which "can" reduce some of the effects of the harder suspension associated with commercial vehicle based towing vehicles.

However, it is NOT the cure all, many other factors come into play as well.

The Shocklink is for use on pickups and 4x4's with a more agricultural suspension that could damage the caravan when towing due to harsh shocks being passed too the Caravan.
Used DB Shocklink on pickups for towing commercial trailers. The SL gives a far smother and less annoying ride than the standard fixed ball with hard suspension.

A friend of mine used to tow his twin axe van behind a 7.5 ton box van to caravan rallies. It shook his van to pieces, the body came off the chasis. Now he will not do it nor will any of the other members of the club who have the licence to do it.
