Do drain or not to drain?

As most caravanners do, we always drain our van water system before leaving site. We've recently had our van serviced and it came back undrained. The van went straight back to storage and had the other half not been sorting out other issues caused by said service people we probably wouldn't have realised this until the next outing (which due to imminent birth of our dogs puppies won't be for some months).

I was upset that the dealer didn't tell us that the system hadn't been drained, I am over reacting?

No, you are not over reacting.
The dealer should have drained the system as he would not know when you intended using the van next , and stagnant water is something you really do not want!

It is simply lack of attention to detail, something which is more and more evident sadly.

We had our van serviced a couple of weeks ago and it can back with the water system un-drained.

Also, we were away in the van last weekend in the glorious sunshine, without hookup and the fridge wouldn't work on gas (cooker and hot water were OK on gas). I had a thought this morning that perhaps the isolation tap for the fridge was turned off during the service and left off!! I will go and check in the storage compound tomorrow.

Ours never comes back as we left it, though it has fortunately never been left with water in as our service is in January. Last time we found EVERY light in the van left switched on, but the battery charger off. They had drained the battery of power, then attempted to charge it up as they know the mover is needed to get the van back on our driveway. The battery (used for 4 seasons) never recovered, so we had to buy a new one while away now.
The toilet flush and air con (original equipment) were both not working on return, though we don't know if they were actually checked at the service. And the wheel bolts were well over-tightened.

All that, coupled with the removal of some modifications OH had made to the electrics, is makiing us consider using a mobile service engineer.

Our system is always drained and has never come back from service un drained, of course we use an independent approved by Coachman, and never had any issues at all.

How do you know that the wheel bolts were over tightened ?
