Yes - a caravan is just as vulnerable on site as in storage, more so at many sites.

I use both the Alko Wheel Lock and a Hitchlock. My insurance requires at least one to be used when the caravan is left unattended, but I use both for added peace of mind.

Mine was a condition of insurance. Hitch lock and wheel lock. But the ones to be used were not specified in any way.

Yes I'm aware that they have been towed off sites. Plus as others say if they are not on our insurance is invalid.

My insurance (CAMHC) only stipulates using a hitch lock when on site BUT I also use a Milenco wheel lock, easier to fit than the Alko one I use at home.

Yes, always fit hitch and wheel locks for piece of mind let alone what the insurance company requires.
