Does anybody know?

We want to take our Sky receiver and television on holiday but have a small problem. There is nowhere convenient in the van where the two can be positioned within a scart cables length of each other so, having searched various parts of the web, we have come up with these clever sounding gadgets for sale at Maplins which provide a wireless-link between the scart sockets.

If they do what it says on the tin, they would be an ideal solution because not only would they enable the TV to be used in the awning as well as the van they would also be useful at home.

The question is; "Do they do what it says on the tin?"

All information and informed opinion would be very welcome.

The direct answer to your question is I don't know! That said another consideration for you to ponder...our digibox is located permanently under the offside bed (2 berth). The TV is located on the TV stand. The digibox and TV are connected by a 1 metre scart cable (flat)and the didgibox is controlled by a "magic eye" bought from Maplins. The co-ax cable from the dish is fed through the front o/s window into the digibox and hey presto satellite TV.

Hi Oliver, Yes the wireless links do work of a fashion but don.t forget each needs to be plugged into a power outlet so you need to make sure that is possible and tey are prone to interference, picture jumping etc.

Another option would be to connect your sky box and Tv useing a coax lead from the RF2 outlet on the back of the box, you will need to retune a available channel on the tv, you can then use a magic eye as Clubman suggests and locate your anywhere.
