I want to take my dog to switzerland on holiday I have a current pets passpot and I am trying to find out if any other forms are needed for switzerland I have rang Defra the Swiss Embassy and the vets no one gives me a straight answer they all refer me to Defra who refer to embassy Has anyone taken a dog to switzerland if so what documetation was needed

Once you have crossed the water to the contiinent with correct papers I believe Sitzerland makes no checks according to people I know and have met in France. We followed friends into Italy and through Switzerland and no one stopped us.

Friends from Belgium travel through Switzerland to lake Como each year and have never had any problems or anywhere else around Europe apart from when they tried to come here about 10 years ago!
