Dogs and France

Next year we are considering taking our 2 dogs to France with us - rather than paying for there stay in kennels that will cost more than OUR hols!! We are looking at the Midi-pyrennes or Charente Maritime. Anyone done this or got any info about sites etc. Any comments gratefully received.
 
hi paul have just returned from 2 months in spain and france most don't mind dogs but do make a charge of around e1.50 a night.I asume you will go via Calais the is a good vet in the centre square with parking right out side dr valerie delval,11 place crevecour calais 62100 tel 0321007100 cost e50 don't forget the 24/48 rule. the wont let you book in if you a least bit early or late. happy holls peter. p.s we did 2700 miles and our was no trouble at all
 
Do it Paul. We took ours to France last year, with no problems at all.The French, generally, are very dog-friendly, but take care where you walk, as they think we are very odd because we clean up after our dogs.They don't!!Be aware, however, that your dog cannot come back into this country within six months of it's last blood test.In other words, if you plan to return in September, the last test would need to be done in March.
