Dometic 133 litre tower refrigerat

hi ,

I have a two month old bailey unicorn.

this morning we were packing up and I noticed that a yellow liquid was leaking out of the caravan dometic tower fridge external cover. I took it off and cleaned it up. there was no visible leak, although the fridge was off then.

any ideas on what this yellow liquid is?

Did it smell?
It sounds like it is the refrigerant, you need to get it checked, may mean a new fridge.

lucky its only two months old from new!

ps no smell, just very yellow.

It is the coooler unit that has failed. It was ammonia . As it was outside the van there was no smell.

There is a weld that has started tobegsty on the dometric fridge which is prone to failure leaking when under stress.

The dealer has already organised a replacement . We are waiting for afitting date.

The cooler unit to be replaced. 😱hmy: This has happened a couple of times this year with our dealer.

Dometric seem to have an issue with the weld on the cooler unit. :woohoo:

Great, just great, we are picking our caravan up on Wednesday and it has the same refrigerator. 🙁
