My new van has one of the above fitted,however the hand book does not say how to set the fridge to 12volt when about to tow.
The main isolator needs to be on in order to set the fridge to 12 volt. Do I then tun it off again before driving off, and will the fridge automatically detect the car is hitched up and turn the fridge on again to commence cooling??

When you start the engine, the habitation relay cuts all power to the 12v system apart from the battery charging circuit and fridge supply.
Before shutting down the 12v supply, select 12v source and the fridge will cool as soon as the engine is started as you have the manual energy selector version
