Looking for some help diagnosing a problem with my Dometic fridge.
We just bought the 2006 Lunar caravan from a private seller, thought I had checked everything, but clearly missed this.
When the fridge is set to gas, the orange light just flashes, no clicking.
On inspection
- No spark
- No cluck, plop or other noise from the gas valve
- Happened just once, when probing around with my multimeter on the burner control unit, it started sparking. Not managed to get it to do that again
Tried
- Replaced gas bottle with a full one
- Turned the gas supply on and off a lot
- Tapped the gas valve to "free it up"
- Disconnected the burn control unit, tested for continuity on the spar wires and for voltage on the control plug (this is when it started sparking.. once)
- Cleaned all the terminals on the gas valve and burner controller (TypeP810)
- Test caravan main battery, showing at 99% health on the battery tester, plus the caracan is connected to mains at this point
Not done, but dont think it is causing the problem
- Cleaned burner, looks ok to me
- Taken the fridge out

Does anyone have a service manual or something else to test, the cost of replacement burner modules isnt nothing, so done just want to buy one and try it without a bit more faffery first.
Currently at St Anns AKS, running the generator once a day to cool the fridge a little on 230v, any help is much appreciated.
