I'm just after a show of hands out there.

Are there any caravaners who have the Dometic VT2500 vacuum toilet system fitted. What are your thoughts on the system?
 
It's hard to understand why anyone would buy into that level of complexity for a caravan/motorhome.

I have had to design vacuum toilets into boats and ships where gravity systems are not viable. But I would most certainly avoid them on unnecessary complication, extra servicing requirement, power consumption and cost grounds where they are not required.

It's possibly not the right forum, but I'd be interested to know how the system behaves onboard a boat. Presumably it uses the holding tank version rather than the cassette one. Is the rest of the system the same?
