Never been to the Dordogne before so we are looking for those who have to share some knowledge with us. We have selected a site http://www.moulin-de-paulhiac.com/ which is in a location known as Daglan, again no first hand knowledge. So over to you, whats worth us knowing, whats good, whats worth seeing and whats bad. Oh yes, and whats worth drinking (red) Thanks

hi Geoff

stayed here 4 years ago and I totally enjoyed my time. the campsite is one of my favourites now and I will return again in future years. our pitch was huge - caravan/awning/gazebo/large 4*4 all fitted on the pitch with ease!! Some pitches were slightly smaller. Only slight drawback was the distance from camp to main shops in Sarlat - nearest town with hypermarche/decent shops.

As for drink - whatever takes your fancy, the choice is yours.

Enjoy

Nice area, we stayed at Camping Les Penyrals just north of Sarlat in a place called Salignac. Lovely camp with fantastic owners (you get a free drink when you arrive) I know this is proberbly just a gimic but it makes you feel welcome. The area is great but if my experience is any thing to go by you can expect a couple od days rain, loads to see though the caves around the area are good also do a river cruise.

Hi Geoff

Moulin de Pauliac is one of our favourite places in all of France. Francis and Patricia - owners - will make you very welcome and the site is truly delightful. Surrounded by fields

and bordered by the river Couze. Keep your empty wine bottles and fill up at the site shop from their barrel - it very good and unbelievably cheap! There is a small supermarket two miles away at Cybranet.

Roque Gaugeac is amazing and on the river Dordogne. Take a boat

trip there, and also climb up behind the houses set into the cliff. There are lots of prehistoric and neolithic caves to

explore - the best we think is Rocque St Christophe. There is so much to do and see near Daglan you will wish for more time!

We were there in early June for our fourth visit and love it more each time.

PETER
