Dorema Scirocco Awning

Can anyone recommend this awning? Our old awning won't fit our Bailey and we were going to buy another of the same kind (NR Sterling) but the Sterling now has opaque end panels which we didn't like. I think it must be to save on supplying curtains for them. I've looked at the specification on the Dorema website and it looks OK for what we need. I had also considered Pyramid but on looking back the pages here they didn't seem to be too popular.

Thanks in anticipation

we have the dorema montana awning bought last year its fine for what we need if you are going to buy one try frontier leisure, they have a website, when we bought our awning they were the cheapest around even cheaper than towsure they are based in gwent but deliver nation wide hope this helps.h.

We have a Sunncamp Mirage. I really don't know anything much about awnings but this one does the job.

From what I've seen, The Dorema and Sunncamp awnings seem very very similar in design and construction - I wouldn't be surprised to find that they're part of the same company.

Anyway, we're very happy with our Sunncamp.

Thanks Rupert and h

I was getting to the point where all awnings looked the same so it's very useful to have some personal recommendations.

Country Lass.

We have the Scirocco with the aluminium frame. Great Awning, easy to put up, stood up to a bit of weather in North Wales last year. Well pleased with it.

We've had two Isabellas and two Dorema's in recent years, and we actually prefer the Dorema, which of course is considerably cheaper. Our current Dorema is well made and has always been fully waterproof. It stood up to last month's storms and gales without a problem - which is more than the tents at Ascot racecourse did!!

Thanks scot, Phil and Colinn

We're sure now that this will be a good buy and now need to find the cheapest deal. It's nice to hear that it will stand up to storms, our NR Sterling did suffer minor damage in high winds in Wales a couple of years ago. Our local upholsterer did the repair for

Thanks everyone who gave help on this. We ordered the awning today from Awningland as they seemed to offer the best price. The chap on the phone was very helpful and chatty. So, assuming that the carriers still have fuel, we expect delivery very soon.
