Drive away awning

Hi, I'm looking to buy a drive away awning which is quick to put up. I'm tempted by the new AirAway Vango Sapera but its £570 which is a bit too much for me. I have a FreeTec 638. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Tinderboy,

It's sometimes difficult to advise or make recommendations as we all have differing expectations.

From personal experience, we bought a popular, lightweight and not inexpensive awning last year, which we could not use in light rain, due to it leaking and soaking our contents.

After returning it for testing, we never found out what the problem was, but eventually got a full refund from the shop we bought it from.

Earlier this year we used the refund to buy an Isabella Ventura Freestander, which is one of the awnings in Kate's link.

It was not cheap, but is easy to erect and indeed I've put ours up three times now by myself. It is excellent quality, weatherproof and is ideal for our needs.

In my humble opinion, if you can stretch your budget a little, the Freestander won't disappoint,

Ken.
