Driving tips when towing in windy, wet conditions

Good advice. I would suggest if you know it is going to be windy but need to go then a plan B is to check out sites along the route so if things are too bad you know where to stop.
We did give up once and use the CC site at Englethwaite Hall near Carlisle once when things got hairy. We had a night on this sheltered site which was far safer than going on. We have also booked an extra night on site rather than travel but accept this is not always possible.
