Driving without due care

Read in the paper today of a young man who was fined £60 and had 3 points on his licence for eating a sandwich whilst driving. Can understand the reason for this especially if he had to open one of the plastic sandwich wraps whilst driving. However when was the law altered to include for other offences other than the use of a mobile phone whilst driving? What about smoking, attempting to light a cigarette, cigar or worse a pipe whilst driving?

I want to be the first to be prosecuted and fined, to include the new fixed £15 surcharge, and penalty points for picking my nose and flicking it at other motorists. Imagine the press reports, they would have a field day.

Any sugestions for other silly offences they could have you for?

Liz as you are the Cornish Liz I do not think I will the cause of your offence because, as previously stated, we do not visit your fair county.

Ok man wearing w...y warmer, flying his kite, also has a mop and bucket, not forgetting the football. Now I really think a surcharge is in order and penalty points? P.S due in Cornwall soon.

Colin - be carefull if you flick your gunge out of the window, as you may get a much larger fine. for distributing litter without a waste disposal liscence!!
