du jard campsite in vendee

has anyone been to du jard camspite in vendee, thinking of going this august, or any do you know of any sites in this area good for beach and local to shops/bars/restuarants?

There are some reviews on Zoover, some in English, and several on other camping forums which are worth searching for. You can get lots of information if you Google Camping du Jard. Lots of people, on other forums, recommend Camping Les Pin Parasol, which is a little inland, but almost everyone who has been likes it there.

We went about 7 years ago. The site is good enough with all of the usual facilities very well kept. The pitches were average size but laid out well so as not to appear crowded.

You will need a car most of the time as there isn't too much within the immediate vicinity. The nearest beach is quite a long walk and the surrounding area is flat, agricultural and often dusty. It's not somewhere I'd rush back to but lots of people do.

Went there last year .Was full of static caravans (about 300) so would not recommend it to anybody !!
