Duplicate User Names

I notice someone else is posting with same user name as myself. I did think that the forum did not allow duplicate names but obviously it does. I tried to change my user name to something a bit more unique by clicking on "edit profile" and changing my nickname then "updating profile" but nothing changed. I'm obviously doing something wrong can someone tell me the correct way to change user name please. Why does the forum accept duplicate names anyway?

No thats not Lol. It would seem we have a child on the Forum pretending to be Lol then cris , started posting as Rob T 2.

Never mind he'll soon go to bed as it's school tomorrow.
 
I'll wake up in the morning and it might all be one big dream, if I check the pages in question and they have gone I might just think it was one big dream!

No , still here but off to bed soon. I'm making an effort to go to bed on the same day that I got up ;O) Got to be up at 6 am and my usual 4-5 hours sleep is catching up on me .

Have a good sleep, I know what it's like to be tired, hubby works shifts and stays up until gone 12.00 and has to be in work by 5.15.

I would hate to work shifts.

It seems when you change your username the change is reflected through all previous posts made as well. Rob-T is new user name, still don't understand why duplicate usernames are permitted though, its just asking for problems. I don't know of any other forum or site that asks for registration details and allows duplicate user names.

Sorry for any confusion caused.
