DVD Players

Just heard that DVD's will be fazed out.

A major recording company has stopped producing them.

The new system is Blue View HD ? Its similar to the old DVD but a better picture.

But surprise surprise they can not be played on existing players!

It will happen at some time but it is more likely that the news you have heard is that BluRay is gaining on HD DVD - these are both high def formats and can be likened to the VHS - Betamax conflict of 25 years ago.

Normal DVDs are unaffected and existing DVD players should be OK for some years to come.

I have been told that 'normal' DVD's will be able to play on either High Def systems, just not in High Def quality, but the same as you do now.
