I am considering buying a Hitachi 19" TV for the caravan. The previous TV (a Digitrex) had a great picture but the DVD was virtually impossible to hear. Has anyone any comment on the Hitachi DVD, please?

Brian I can only give you my findings and I have bought a brand new van this year so I thougtht to hell with it new telly as well.
So I went to Tescos and bought a 19inch Technika with built in Freeview and dvd and this serves us well and I know there have been comments about viewings angles etc but this has not been a problem in our van
I hope this helps.( forgot to say no problems with Tv or DVD volume )

Our tv in the bedroom at home died, so when the silly tv offers were on before the world cup i bought this Hitachi 19" combo it was well worth the money & the picture & sound are excellent from TV & DVD player

I also purchased the Hitachi and have found it very good, sound is fine, plenty loud enough for a van. It also it fits the Swift Televison mounting, giving you a larger picture than Swift indicate in their advertising. Have a look at ARGOS who were offering a good deal when I bought mine.
