My personal favourite park in south Wales is Kiln Park at Tenby. Mainly because of proximity to beach and short walk into town. The park has one of the best shower blocks I have come across. It can be a very busy park though at peak times so book ahead.

Caravan Club site at Pembrey Country Park - Llanelli.

Situated in country park which leads on to a 7 mile blue flag beach. Also excellent for cycling, golf, horse riding and has a dry ski slope. All this is within the park

Kiln Park is a very expencive and overcrowded park with tourers sited furthest away from the amenities - typical "Hi-De-Hi" site ran by a large company.

For a quieter, clean and more relaxing site why not try either Beverly Park or Widend - both in Paignton. Bothe sites have excellent facilities regarding toilet/shower blocks and are very central for Torquay to Dartmouth area and Totnes inland.

Beverly Park has far more to cater for the children, even in wet weather, but is more expensive.

Personally as I live in south Wales I would not entertain any site in this area as they are generally very expensive and many leave a lot to be desired regarding hygiene and cleanliness.

No matter where you go enjoy yourself and have a good time

Hi Stuart, you say its easy but you have picked probably the most popular area and there must be thousands of sites to choose from. Do you want big and noisy or small and quiet, seaside or country, scenary or shopping? If you want something in the middle them I would agree with Rose that Kiln Park is an excellent choice. We visited in june and were very impressed. It is part of the British Holidays group (www.British-Holidays.co.uk) but still seems to retain its individuallity. It is very well positioned just a short walk past the golf course to the beach, which is excellent for small children and has a huge area of sand which shelves gently into the sea, and along the beach to Tenby for boat trips etc. The touring and camping area is huge and was almost full for the weekend but the warden is excellent and, with his team, kept all the facilities to a good standard despite the large number of people using them. There is a very good outdoor pool and lots for your children to do and I think they would love it. If you are interested, keep an eye on their web site for special offers (we paid

Our favourite when our 3 kids were little to large - from about 5 through to 16 or so, was the river Dart Country Park, at Ashburton, try www.riverdartadventures.co.uk, or if you want a seaside holiday, try www.pentewansands.co.uk near St Austell, own private beach, & Club house etc., plenty to do & see at both sites, neither are cheap - they both cost

Polmanter at St Ives, Cornwall. Got a pool and plenty of other bits and pieces. Nice bar, good location - great for West Cornwall. Also Sandy Balls in the New Forest at Fordingbridge. Really great for kids the age of your two.
