Edinburgh CC site

We are planning a Fri and Sat short break at the end of this month.Would appreciate any comments from anyone who has been there.Just looking for somewhere quiet with possibly a pub within walking distance.I understand there is a Hotel nearbye.

No pub nearby of any half decent quality and definayely avoid the hotel!! Don't let it put you off, regular bus from the gates of the site to city centre.

The site itself is first class with all the usual facilities you would expect from a CC site. Dont let the surrounding areas put you off. As you drive toward the site you go through one of the worst places Edinburgh has to offer, it was actually used for the film Trainspotters. When you walk out from the site and turn left there are lovely walks along the beach and the bus stop going into Edinburgh center is right outside the gate and all it will cost you is a pound each. We spent 9 nights there a couple of weeks ago and we will definately return, all in all a fantastic city to visit.

Thanks for your comments on the Edinburgh CC site,looks like we will be going last weekend of this month.Look forward to a visit into the city itself....regards john.b.

try morton hall on the south side of edinburgh,pub n grub on site, bus stop outside gate into town,a better site than the cc
