Considering a trip. There appear to be two sites in Edinburgh itself; the CAMC Edinburgh site and Morton Hall. CAMC is a few quid more than Mortonhall but not by much.
We want a site with good public transport into the city and in particular to Murrayfield for the Nations Championship ( previously ka the Autumn Internationals)
Has anyone stayed at either or both sites and would like to recommend. In particular which is best for public transport. I have been on travelling and Google maps but lived experience is best.
Alternatively can anyone recommend a site outside Edinburgh that is on a direct train or bus route and is open in November
Edit. Just found Drummhor. Any comments about this one?
TIA

We have stayed at the CAMC it’s a nice site the bus stop is a bit of a walk from the site ,on the plus side if you come from Scotland you can use your free bus pass if you’re old enough lol.

We've also stayed at the CAMC site. As mentioned the bus stop is about 15mins walk away but a good service. We used it pretty much everyday.

The site is the usual standard for the club and there's quite a good walk if you go the other way from heading to the bus stop.

We left there to head further south and east and it was fun...not..... getting out of Edinburgh. Got in the wrong lane and finished up going around some residential area.

The CC site in Edinburgh is under the flight path for Edinburgh airport, which we found intrusive - although they are considering changing the flight paths.

Maybe it depends on wind direction and time of year but I never noticed it. Mostly they're were coming in over the Forth.
