Edit facility

It seesm that the facility to edit yoru post after it has been posted has disappeared. Can we please have it back?

From what I've seen, sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. I note that even within one thread, when I've made more than one post, the edit facility can apply to one reply, but not to another. Once the edit facility is lost, it seems to be permanent for that particular post.

It is my observation that the edit facility is only accesible for the last post in a thread, so if your post is the latest you can editit, but as soon as someone else posts the facility is lost.

I can't confirm that, John. I have been able to edit some of my older posts even though the thread has got longer in the meantime. They just get a new date and time, but remain where they were, i.e. they don't move to the end of the thread.
