EHU Safety??

The site we used at The Lizard Cornwall last month was so over crowded they had a triple outlet adaptor plugged into each EHU socket.

So a four outlet 10 amp EHU post was serving twelve users!!

Is this safe and acceptable?? I've never seen anything like it before. This was not a Club site.

While it may not be technically unsafe it is bad practice . At 10 amp the post would trip before the maximum loading on the adaptor was reached. Also it brings into question the trade description act if you paid for a 10 amp hook up you would only actually be able to draw a third of that so your not actually gettIng what you have paid for . Another case of campsites getting greedy when the posts were full they should have stopped booking electric pitches cheers craig

some people have no regard for safety , on my walks around Swansea during the day there is a caravan half parked on the pavement on a regular basis , and there is a hook up lead going over the wall and along the 2 foot section of pavement thats left , so this guy has a live 240 volt cable on a public highway , its also a trip hazzard , even a building site is only allowed 110 volts , its quite enlightening what i see on my walks
