My Elddis Crusader has a roof-mounted air con unit. The unit runs and the fan blows fine, but there isn't much cooling of the air in the summer. The van is 11 years oild, and I suspect it's like air con on cars-the unit may need regassing. Anyone know if this is an easy and cheap(ish) fix, and could suggest any companies that might do this-I wondered if the local car air con folks might be up to it? It's an Electrolux unit.

It is quite possible the unit needs to be re-gassed. It is something that your car dealer can probably do, or even your caravan supplier who will almost certainly either do it or know someone who does.
There may be an issue about which refrigerant to use, as the allowable fluids have changed, but your specialist should have all the relevant information on compatibilities of gasses.
As for cost ask them to quote you.
